Health & Wellness

The health and wellness of the children and staff are our top priorities.  Please be aware of the following policies:

Immunizations

Every child must have all of the necessary immunizations upon enrollment and a physical exam within one year of enrollment.

Illness

If your child is sick, running a fever of 100 degrees or higher, diarrhea, vomiting, earache, or any contagious disease, i.e. a cold with a badly running nose, coughing, and congestion, he/she needs to stay home and be fever free for a 72-hour period before returning to the center. A child who develops signs of illness at the center will be isolated from the rest of the children to the best of our ability and parents will be notified and expected to pick up the child as soon as possible.

If your child has been sent home, he/she may not return the following day unless with written permission from their health care provider or until symptoms are no longer present; if prescribed an antibiotic – must be on the antibiotic for 24 hours before returning.

The general rule of thumb: if your child is not able to participate in class activities, they need to stay home and rest.
